The W-Series are powered by Audio Chi’s Structural Acoustics technology (ACSA), making the sound quality of the W-Series unique amongst portable headphones.

 

Supra-Aural Driver Positioning

The Supra-Aural design of the W-Series allows them to sit comfortably on the ear with the driver at the optimum distance from the inner ear and at an angle which facilitates the most natural listening experience. In contrast to conventional headphones, sound doesn’t appear locked in but instead directions and distances are apparent, submerging you in three dimensional sound, just like being in a live performance.

 

Titanium Coated Mylar Drivers

The 40mm Professional Grade Mylar Drivers are micro-coated in Titanium. This gives the drivers such precision and ultra-fast response times that the entire audible spectrum is reproduced with perfect clarity, without a trace of distortion. The clarity also means that the W-Series can be enjoyed at a lower volume than other headphones.

 

Neodymium Driver Magnet

The Neodymium magnet provides the power to drive the CCAW Coils.

It is five times more powerful than a ferrite magnet of comparable size, this is an essential feature in optimising studio quality sound for everyday use.

 

Copper Clad Aluminium Wire Voice Coils

CCAW coils combine the strength and conductivity of a copper core with a lightweight outer coating of aluminium which drive the diaphragm far more responsively than conventional coils.

 

Detachable Woven Cable

A practical innovation from Audio Chi. The majority of headphone users will experience one of two things – tangled cables and faulty connections. Woven cables don’t tangle. Most headphones break when the connection between the earcup and the cable gets damaged- this doesn’t happen with the W-Series.

 

Gold Connection

A standard feature on larger headphones, gold plated connections maximizes contact efficiency and helps prevent sound deterioration after many years of use.

 

With the powerful magnet, highly reactive CCAW Coils and ultra-precise titanium coated driver, all positioned within the acoustically designed earcups, each one subjected to individual tonal fine-tuning, the W-Series sound even better than they look.
